Regina Davidson

A native of Bellevue, TN, Regina received a Fine Arts Degree from Austin Peay State University and worked initially in the field of commercial photography. After five years of Corporate America and the dawn of the digital age, she left her beloved dark room in order to dust off her brushes and begin painting full time. She developed an intimate dialogue with color and a mastery of paint applications. Regina says, “Applying the paint in a different way has allowed me to be more expressive and less analytical. I now use hand painted pieces of paper in addition to a paint brush when I work. This allows me to turn my attention to narrative and emotion. I'm focused now, not only the subject, but the importance of process, color use, composition, and shapes.” “I have a "down to earth" approach to my work and feel art is meant to be enjoyed by ALL. I want my work to engage people and to draw out emotion. I wish for each piece to inspire a story and to connect us to our humanity.” Regina has made five appearances on the Home and Garden Channel to demonstrate her painting abilities.
